WIP(s)

I see it's been almost a week since my last post.  BUT - I have been busy!!
Today was a trip to JoAnns, which does not often happen for this girl.  It proved worthwhile today though: All Fons & Porters Notions were 40% off, the GO cutting mat was 25% off, and the two pieces of fabric on top were on sale.  The bottom, burlap, was from Walmart.  I've wanted to do some burlap projects from Pinterest.

Progress on the embroideries on the silk:  18 squares done, 30  to go. Each square takes approximately 20 minutes.

Two little quilts bound. The basket needs "something",  have to figure out what.  Both need to have the slips put on the back yet.

Then, look who showed up at the door:  DD, Kelli, just had a tooth pulled so her smile is "hurting".

Have to put the goodies away, start the embroidery machine and give some time to the doggies.

Hope you're having a productive day.

Hugs

Good day in the sewing department!! I almost never go to Jo-Ann's, but when I do, I wait for a big sale and stock up on basics like needles, etc. Hope Kelli is feeling better! I love that she came to see her Mom. :-)

Oh, look at all of those pretty snowflakes! It's going to be gorgeous! What kind of thread are you using to stitch them? I was just wondering if stitching on silk would be different that stitching on cotton. Hope your girl is feeling better - dentists seem to have that effect on smiles...temporarily. :)

Hey...read your comment on NeedledMom's site and took a look!! First, we live in eastern NC about 50 miles from the coast just outside of a small town. We have an occasional mouse and moles in the yard so you can see how strange it is for me to think of mountain lions around!!! I think coyotes can be a problem for cattle farmers though.

Love your little basket quilt...is this a pattern OR your own design??
