New Blogger, DD - Kelli

I'd like to introduce DD, Kelli, to the Blogland community.  Her newly created blog is named Barr Tac.  Her last name is "Barr".  I've talked about her often.  She is also pictured here in the lace vest from Christmas 2012.
A little about DD, Kelli:

She started sewing non-stop in the Fall of 2011 at the age of 32!  She bought herself a Bernina (430) and has been addicted since.  Below is one of many items she made me for Christmas. I "think" she used a Mini Charm Pack.  It now resides on the table between Mr. SC and myself.

She repurposed a pair of jeans and made me a denim purse for Christmas as well.  It is lined in hunter green.  The flap is one of the legs of the jeans.

I LOVE the back of the purse the most!

Her crocheting skills are far beyond my skills.  She gave me the "spools" afghan a few months ago "just because".  The Christmas ripple behind it was made for me a few years ago.  And yes, there is a pretty octagon one between them on the rack.

She likes to recycle, up cycle, reuse and repurpose.  She did just that below. The sewing machine wall hanging is something she found at the thrift store, brought it home, stripped it, painted and added the goodies on it (little block, pincushion, and spool of thread). The width is 12" and the height is 11".  Something else she gave me this past Holiday.  I have the perfect spot to hang this in my sewing room.  See those two little knobs below the block - I'm going to make mini blocks to hang on them.

The rocker is something she found at a garage sale years ago, brought it home, sanded it and put coats of stain on it.  I LOVE it!!

What is Kelli up to today?  Another one of her passions - hop over to Barr Tac and check it out.
HINT:  I can smell it over here!  (DD lives only 5 minutes away)

Hope you'll become Kelli's follower and make her feel right at home like you all have done for me.

Hugs
