MODA Candy Bars

Do you remember these short-lived MODA Candy Bars?  They were 2 1/2" by 5" and came in a 5 variety candy pack.

They were not available very long.  Don't really know why that is when the Mini Charm Packs seem to have taken off.  The MODA Turnovers did not last long either.
Well, the one set of Candy Bars that I had were gifted to DD, Kelli, today with a brown MODA jelly roll inside a holder for pencils.   I didn't gift her the handful of turnovers I have remaining....yet.
Do I dare admit that as I was going through the "Magic Closet", as one blogger put it,  I actually found more Park Avenue by 3 Sisters?  I found another jelly roll and FOUR more charm packs.  Here is the last batch I found:  Adding today's find with the photo below, you do the math ......LOL   I think I best start using it instead of hoarding it.
Wanted to let everyone know I uploaded these photos through Picassa.  Oh my word, they loaded SO fast.  I have a lot more to learn about Picassa but am finding out that I like it already.  KaHolly also told me about using HTML, thank you!

A BIG thank you to Carol @ Brown Quilts.  She is helping me with Google Reader.  I'm really trying to learn (relearn).

Kathy and Darlene are hosting what looks to be a fun Sew-A-Long starting next month and will run every other month using the book pictured below.  You can read about it on Kathy's blogpost here and Darlene's blogpost here.  I ordered my book yesterday from Amazon. Thank you ladies, I look forward to participating.  Every other month works nicely.
Most of today has been spent rearranging the sewing room closet.  Oh my word - it's been like Christmas in January! But I spent more time trying to decide on which project to start next with the goodies I forgot I had.  That darned memory - I lost it and have trouble finding it some days.  LOL

Have a wonderful evening.

Hugs

I have several boxes of Moda Candy Bars - they were definitely short lived. LOL I took one and cut it in half... now I had two mini charm packs for Miss Rosie's Little Bite patterns.

Sorting through the 'magic closet' can be so much fun. You'll find tidbits you completely forgot about and your heart will jump for joy. LOL

I'm glad you're going to play along with the Simply Charming little quilts. woohoo!!!

Have fun!

I just knew that closet was magic!! LOL Love the Park Avenue. I don't think I ever got any turnovers, I didn't realize they are gone already~ just when I'm thinking what fun they could be! LOL I'm always a day late... or in this case months?! I hope you are having a great weekend Cindy!!

The only candy bars I've ever owned are real chocolate... I don't have a"magic closet," but a very large basket holds plenty of UFO's that are magically waiting for someone to finish them... does that count? Glad you are playing along with the Simply Charming mini's!!!

I had a box of the candy bars and made a table topper out of them mixed with white - I loved them and don't know why they quit making them. I love all the moda precuts and have to be careful not to go crazy and keep ordering when they are on sale.

Right about now any candy bar in my closet would make it quite magical! LOL Have fun cleaning... and discovering!

the reason the candy bars were so short lived is--because those quilter's using them could not quit thinking about real 'candy bars' so they were eating them and instead of sewing!!!!!!
