Jan. 1st -- 1st 2013 Christmas Box Item

Yes, it is January First and I have my First Item for the 2013 Christmas Box.  Many know I add to "the Christmas Box" throughout the year.  It's always such fun finding what I've added come holiday wrapping time.
This pillow is for DGS and measures 18" square.  The applique was done using the Accuquilt GO Gingham Dog die

The red fabric is a cotton. The doggie red, black and white is a flannel.  The back, as pictured below, is done as a "fold-over" so it can be easily removed for washing.

I don't always have the right size insert so often I have to make my own as I did for this pillow.

And below, is DGS, Ty, and "Ruger", his faithful dog, who is represented by the applique in the pillow.
I hope you're day is spent enjoying what you love to do.  For me, that's sewing.

Hugs.

LOL - look at you go! You are on the ball girl! Great idea to turn that into a pillow and you get extra points for making it washable! Around here, that's the only kind I can have!

This is fabulous. Ok I need to come in a few days. I can't get my blogspot to work properly but want to do the once a month Christmas box and the mystery quilt. Also the June one I want in.
