Yesterday was spent on Darlene and Kathy's "Simply Charming" sew-a-long which actually starts in February (every other month). Yes, this was done in one day!
I used 2 1/2" squares rather than 2" squares. The single charm pack I used is called "Civil War Anthem" by Barbara Brackman & Terry Clothier Thompson....from the "Magic Closet" so I have no idea how old it is. I had to add a few scrappy light pieces. This one measures 24" by 28". It'll be on the HQ tomorrow.
This morning started out wonderful!
Did a 7 mile jaunt on the treadmill - 6 incline @ 4.6 MPH with no stopping (nope, not even to hit the bathroom, LOL).
And then, hooked up 2 of the dogs and went for a 3 mile jaunt - and trust me, our neighborhood is NOT flat!
FYI - If you exercise before breakfast you will lose 20% more body fat than after breakfast.
Called DD, Kelli, from Barr Tac, (hop over to see what she's sewing now) to talk to DGD to choose two numbers for the giveaway. The grandkids were both still sleeping so SIL had to choose the numbers. And they were:
#6 - KaHolly Charm Packs
#30 - Crazy"bout quilts Jelly Roll
If you'd both email me your addresses, I'll get your goodies in the mail on Monday.
Hope your Friday starts out wonderful too!!!
Hugs

Congratulations to the winners!
I love your quilt, and the fabrics are beautiful in it.
I am still trying to get motivated to move today, but now I have a regular flu, so not much I can do;)

Oh, my goodness, I never expected to see MY name on the winner's list. Wow!! Thanks a million! I really like this quilt. It's elegant in all of it's simplicity!! Definitely need to consider this pattern when using up my 2.5" scrappy squares! Keep up the good work with the excercise. I didn't know that about excercising before breakfast. Thanks again!! ~karen

Holy Toledo Cindy, you're an exercising fanatic! I'm totally impressed. Wish you could swing by my house and grab me to go with you! Love the little quilt too.
The quilt is darling! 10 miles? It'll never happen. LOL. I believe exercise, along with dieting, should be done in moderation! Okay fine, I'm a slouch. You go girl!
That was awfully nice of you to exercise enough for both of us. I appreciate your kindness.

Love that little quilt...a great scrap user!
Ouch! I checked off seven miles before breakfast, but outside in Oklahoma, which is pretty much flat. You better be right on the fat loss! ;)
I wish I had room for a treadmill! I might just have to figure out a place to put one, there are days I don't feel like running out to the fitness center and I could get in short walks as well
I love that tooo pretty. Love the pop of color...
I'm behind in reading... so, really, more calories are burned before you eat breakfast?? I'm afraid I'd keel over in my tracks without some sustenance!! How do you do it??
