GO Blog Hop with a One Day

Darlene from SewCalGal is hosting a wonderful Accuquilt GO Blog Hop this week. Each blog will host something made with their GO and the theme is Spring.

I use my Accuquilt GO "sew" much. I used it "yet again" for a Spring placemat purse.

Auditioning handles with plaid placemat and two red napkins:

Auditioning polka dots for inside:

Using: Accuquilt's ROUND FLOWER GO die:

I save every little scrap because you never know when you might need just a "dot"..

Cut shapes, not sure which ones I would use.

This is what happened when I finished:

BLOG HOP PARTICIPANTS for remainder of week:

Today, along with myself, is Barb of Bejeweled Quilts by Barb. She always has something fun on her blog so please, hop on over.

The rest of the schedule for the week goes:

Wednesday, the 13th: Katrina of Sunshower Quilts
Wednesday, the 13th: Terri of Bits n Pieces

Thursday, the 14th: Laine from Just Plain Laine
Thursday, the 14th: Michelle from Rosebud Quilting

Friday, the 15th: Glenna from Hollyhock Quilts
Friday, the 15th: Sherry from A Quilting Life

*******************************************************************************
I don't know how you store your dies but it's best to store them on end as the picture below shows. The reason for this is so that the weight of other dies does not bend the blades. Here is my stash of GO dies:

To be eligible for the ONE DAY all you have to do is guess how many dies you think I might have and leave that number in your comment on this post only. When I boot up my computer tomorrow morning, all the winning guesses will be put in a basket and a number will be selected. If there are no correct guesses, the closest guess(es), without GOing over, will be the names going in the basket to be chosen from.

To the winner of the One Day will GO:

This kit was purchased at the Bernina shop. It is called "Friendship Star" by Alex Anderson.

As written on the cover page:
All fabrics for the front and back of this quilt are included.
Total fabric included: 6 yards
Batting and instructions are not included. (strange but true, I slit open the bottom to make sure)
100% cotton fabrics. Fabrics have not been prewashed.
Quilt size: 34.5 by 36.5. Block size: 6" by 6".

My Son (12) and I counted and we finally agreed upon 42 dies which I don't think is enough. You should probably go shopping and pick up another dozen or so lol.

Love your placemat purse! It's amazing what you can do with a simple placemat. I think the front pocket is great. The red star flower in the center of the white looks great. I like the sharp points with the round heart shapes. Great job!
