Do you "Detour"...

...in your sewing? I did today. I just decided to do something a little different:
SNEAK PEAK:

Hearts cut with the GO. I save ALL my fused scraps. So I can just go to my fused scrap bin and pick a small piece of fabric to run through the GO. I rarely have any waste because there's always a "smidgen" I can use from the scrap bin.

Fabric: double-sided quilted...from my stash

Hubby is home officing this week and tonight we're having a "date", picking up the neighbors to go out to dinner - nothing fancy.

So tomorrow hopefully I can finish my "detour".

I usually detour when my projects are going slowly or I'm in a funk. Today I tried needle turn applique for the first time.

I love a good self chosen detour. My sister and I used to take an unfamiliar road when we were on trips. We called it "an ad-WEN-ture"
LOL...those were the good old days.

I always detour. Can't help myself. Your bag, kindle case, etc. looks cute with the little hearts.

Nothing wrong with detours...I have recently taken one myself! BTW, you goodies will be in the mail tomorrow!

I detour A LOT, but trying to minimize as I fear this has contributed to my UFO collection. But yours has certainly caught my attention. I'm looking forward to seeing what you are up to.

Ok, Miss Cindy Lou who just made a U-Turn!! I love the spontaneity of detours... sometimes you go into the sewing room to do X and then Y calls your name and there goes the planned activity! But that's the fun of creating, right? Tell me, tell me....whatchamaking??????

I save all my little pieces as well...it is great. Sometimes I just get my go out and cut them all up when I am sick of looking at them just sitting around.

Have a wonderful evening.

Uhm, yes, I take detours in sewing, too. I think I might have attention deficit disorder - sometimes I just can't stay focused on one thing! Can't wait to see what you're making on your detour!

XOXO,

Cyndi
